DSAC is thrilled to welcome theatre director, Matt Lenz, to our Masterclass series.
Meet the Director on the creative team who actually cast the shows you audition for. It’s not often you get to work with the director, himself. Learn what happens when you get in the room with the creative team, while getting coaching and feedback on your song presentation and presence in the room. There will be a Q & A for students and parents to learn about the important role parents play too!

Matt Lenz
MATT LENZ is a New York based freelance theater director who has worked all over the world with many of the industry's biggest and brightest talents. Matt was the Associate Director to Tony Award-winner Jack O’Brien on the original production of Hairspray on Broadway, National Tours, Las Vegas, the UK, Toronto and in Cologne, Germany. Matt was also the Associate Director for Catch Me If You Can on Broadway and directed the 2012-13 first national tour. He directed acclaimed Hairspray productions at The Paper Mill Playhouse, the St. Louis MUNY as well as 3 national tours and a ground-breaking production in Johannesburg, South Africa.He regularly teaches master classes and workshops in NYC and around the country at universities and for performing arts organizations. He received the 2010 Kevin Kline Award for Best Director, is a teaching artist for the Broadway Dreams Foundation and a Member of SDC.
