I recently took up kickboxing, and in addition to the muscle tone I have built, I now have inner strength to kick some ass. I am writing music, playing guitar, singing again and doing stand up comedy for the first time ever!

Ok, I know you’re thinking , “She was an actress, she has no problem getting up in front of an audience.” Maybe that is true, but doing stand up and bearing my soul in front of strangers in a synagogue???

We get trapped in our comfort zone well below our potential capabilities. We will never grow and change if we don’t take risks. The most successful people are risk takers.

So, this February, I invite you to try something you have never done before.

What are some things you can do personally or professionally that go beyond your comfort level?

Make a list of 10 things that, if achieved, would make you a better person or perhaps even more successful. Maybe you are ready to travel alone somewhere you have always dreamed of, take a class, learn a new sport or even a foreign language. Go for it! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Thought for the day:

“It’s not because things are difficult that we dare not venture. It’s

because we dare not venture that they are difficult.”
