Acting: Denise Simon is a New York-based acting coach and career consultant who has been in the entertainment industry for more than 25 years as an actor, teacher, director, and personal talent manager. She managed Scarlett Johansson, Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino, Lacey Chabert (“Party of Five”), and Judy Reyes (NBC’s “Scrubs”) among others. She has coached hundreds of children and young adults appearing regularly on TV, film, and Broadway with students appearing in Matilda, Annie, The Lion King, Mary Poppins, Les Mis, among others. She is the author of Parenting in the Spotlight and an expert contributor to Backstage Magazine.
Vocal: Robert Marks is a vocal coach, conductor, arranger, director, and composer, specializing in helping singers showcase their talents off to their best possible advantage. He works with singers of all ages, from absolute beginners to celebrities, and recently taught his 80,000th private session in his New York City studio. He was a pianist with the Broadway and national companies of the hit musical Annie, and spent two seasons as the Associate Conductor of the St. Louis Municipal Opera, working with such stars as Shirley Jones, Paul Williams, Carol Lawrence, and Vincent Price. For several years, he was the host and musical director of the acclaimed Youngstars performances of professional children in New York City. His music arrangements have been heard on many compact disc releases of the “Revisited” series of recordings on Painted Smiles Records. Recently, he directed ragtime legend Max Morath in Ragtime and Again off-Broadway at the York Theatre.
